USTA 3.5 Senior Red Hat Ladies On A Roll
Have you seen our 3.5 USTA senior ladies on court yet? It’s hard to miss them in their flashy red and purple outfits, complete with red hats and purple feathers. The idea for the outfits was the brainstorm of captain, Sherry Payne, and several team members. The team traveled to Stanford University last April to compete in the District Championships. Although, they didn’t win districts, their outfits were a smashing success.

The senior gals began their season on September 16th and are undefeated with a 4 & 0 record. Sun Oaks Racquet Club in Redding is their only competition and there are 4 remaining matches and a play off in early March. The team would love to have another chance to attend the District Championships in April 2007 at Stanford. If you would like to see them play, they have two more home matches on Oct. 28th and Nov. 11th at 11:00. The playoff with Redding is slated for early March.
