Helpful Stringing Tips!
Have you ever asked yourself how tight should I string my racquet? The answer demends on the type of game you play, your racquet's stiffness, and whether you are after more power or more control. If you want more power, then you will have less control (looser strings). If you want more control, then you will have less power (tighter strings).
Strings mostly come in three materials: natural gut, nylon (multifilament synthetics), and polyester. Gut provides the most feel, polyester offers the greatest durability, and nylon is a balance of the two. Multifilament synthetics are the largest segment of the string population ranging from high-performance to basic synthetics.
Softer ones are the least expensive and play like gut, which is good for net-rushers, doubles, or anyone with arm trouble. On the opposite end is the more durable multifilament that gives a much longer life span for you string breakers, but are not as stiff as polyesters. So the next time you come to the pro-shop for a stringing, let us fix you up with the best string for your game and give you the biggest bang for your buck. Click here for our string price list.
